She has a background in storytelling that spans twenty years. She began her career as an award-winning theatre practitioner, participating in the development of new work across Canada while appearing in the classics at major regional theatres like the Stratford Festival. Her first taste of documentary work came with a POV radio documentary for CBC’s ‘Outfront’, and in 2009 she transitioned into producing with the feature documentary, ‘Goodness in Rwanda’. The film was entirely self-financed and crowd-funded. Tara works as an Associate Producer in documentary, factual, and independent film, and is developing a slate of her own media projects for 2015.
